Nyree has over 20 years of experience as a subsistence and commercial organic farmer. She has a passion for feeding people and has cooked in restaurants in Canada and abroad. Since moving to the Kootenays in 2005, Nyree has been an active member of the farming community and the owner of a small-scale food processing business. Nyree is currently the Basin Business Advisors (BBA) Program – Agriculture Specialist and provides free, one-to-one advisement and workshops designed for agriculture businesses located in the Columbia Basin. Nyree considers herself incredibly fortunate to spend her time speaking with farmers and ranchers in the Kootenays.
