Nicole is the coordinator of East Shore Food Roots, a passionate cook, gardener, chicken-raiser, and joyful mom to an energetic toddler. In the Area A community, most recently she has headed up the Market Day events in Crawford Bay, as well as an annual community apple gleaning and juicing with the Kootenay Mobile Press, with the resulting shelf-stable juice donated to local groups including the Crawford Bay School and the East Shore Christmas Food Hampers. She also helps organize the Kootenay Food Tree Project, which gives away hundreds of free fruit seedlings to local East Shore residents every year.
