Nicolas Walser is a farmer currently working in Krestova as the Field Manager at Linden Lane Farms. Nic got his start in organic production apprenticing at Close to Home Organics, in Abbotsford, where he later became the Field Production Manager. Nic holds a Bachelors of Applied Science in Sustainable Agriculture with a minor in Policy Studies from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Previous to his work in agriculture, Nic worked in the non-profit sector, training youth in environmental restoration. Nic is the producer representative on the Certified Organic Associations of BC’s Accreditation Board, which oversees organic certification in the province. He is also a member of the BC Institute of Agrologists and the National Farmers Union. A self described “Policy Nerd”, he believes that a robust food system requires policies that directly support farmers.
