Jeff Nimmo is the Kootenay Regional Agrologist with the BC Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries. Jeff joined the Ministry in 2016 and before starting the Regional Agrologist role in spring of 2022, had been working in a technical role with a focus on nutrient management and soil. Over the past few years some of his favourite areas of work have included working with farmers to develop user friendly decision making tools for manure and fertilizer, and behind the scenes support for the province’s Environmental Farm Plan Program. Before joining the Ministry, Jeff worked as an educator and Agrologist in the Kootenays, in applied research at the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus in Nova Scotia, and in the private Ag-retail sector in the Lower Mainland. Jeff is based in Creston at the Service BC location on Canyon St.
